A Welcome Dinner with Representatives from Mount Allison 2026

Representatives of Mount Allison University visited Hong Kong in February 2026 to attend an education exhibition and to meet with their Hong Kong alumni. Today, Friday, February 27, the representatives together with members of Mount Allison University organized a dinner gathering at Hotel ICON in Tsim Sha Tsui district. The President and Vice-Chancellor of Mount Allison University, Dr. Ian Sutherland, was supposed to lead his team on this trip. However, due to an unexpected circumstance, the President is unable to attend as planned. Instead, Marcie Meekins (Director of Development) and Robin Walker (Interim Director of Student Experience) came to Hong Kong on his behalf. Other than alumni of Mount Allison University, key alumni representatives from some other universities in the Maritimes, including Saint Mary's University, Dalhousie University, Acadia University and University of New Brunswick, were invited to attend as well.

The dinner gathering was held at the Above & Beyond (天外天) Chinese Restaurant on the 28th floor of Hotel ICON. It is a renowned restaurant serving high-end Cantonese cuisine with panoramic views of the Victory Harbour skyline. A large, round table with seats for 14 (and eventually 15) pax was reserved for this event. We all enjoyed the dinner and had a nice chat with the representatives before leaving the restaurant.

Thank you, Charmaine, for organizing such a wonderful event!
