The President's Visit to Hong Kong in 2025

Dr. Robert Summerby-Murray, his wife Susan Summerby-Murray, as well as the Vice President of Advancement & External Affairs, Erin Sargeant Greenwood had been planning to travel to Hong Kong and China in the first half of 2025. The main purpose of this trip was to meet as many SMU alumni and associates as possible, as the President is about to complete his second term as the President of Saint Mary's University. The committee members of the Saint Mary's University Hong Kong Chapter assisted Mary-Ann Daye and Stephanie Letemplier of the Alumni Office to make this happen. Finally, the President decided to arrive in Hong Kong on Thursday, April 24th.

The following day, Friday, April 25th, a cocktail reception was hosted by Saint Mary's University at Ming I Room of Sheration Hotel where our esteemed guests stayed. Contrary to our earlier expectation, a large crowd of people showed up, including several alumni who graduated from the finance program jointly developed with BNUZ. Besides, alumni representatives from Dalhousie University and Acadia University also showed up upon our invitation. We are looking forward to a similar event with the new President in the coming year.
